Vintage Mattel Chatty Cathy Doll Brunette 7 Outfits Not Talking Parts or Repair

Description

This adorable Chatty Cathy doll has soft head/face with brown eyes and eyelashes that open/close, rosy cheeks, freckles, brunette bob hairstyle and pink lips with 2 upper teeth (which may have been re-glued to upper lip at some point in the past--see close-up photo). She is 20” tall. She can stand or sit. She has pointing index finger on right hand; more open hand on left hand. The arms and the left leg are paler than the body, head, and right leg.
My mother received this doll for Christmas 1961. She is dressed in an original Chatty Cathy Pink Peppermint Stick outfit (pink striped dress, white pinafore, pink velvet shoes, white socks, white, laced-lined panties, and hair ribbon). All other included 6 outfits and white velvet pair of shoes are also vintage and fit Chatty Cathy. Several of her outfits were handmade by my grandmother in the 1960s when my mom was young. Please note that outfits were in a storage box for 50+ years. The outfits and shoes appear to be in good vintage condition, showing some wear/age/imperfections. Elastic in some pieces is aged/no longer stretchy. The clothes have not been recently washed/ironed in order to leave that decision up to the buyer. This Chatty Cathy body has the hex speaker without the circle around it. The ring with string pulls out, but quickly goes back in when released with no talking sound, just a “rewind” sound. My mom thinks that the doll was sent in for voice box repair when she was young; you can see in picture that the body/shoulder seam has separation on the right side. When
undressed
her arms stay in down or full up position, but not straight out/back or in between. She has a few marks/discolorations on her. Please see pictures included as they are part of the descriptions and condition also.
