Description
Good used Industrial Pedestal Grinder/Buffer with a 3-phase 1 horsepower electric motor. If you don't have 3-phase power, you could always swap out the motor for a single phase motor. This is a belt-driven buffer/grinder and I installed a custom longer length shaft to buff larger odd-shaped items. The shaft is slightly out of round because I welded a couple of bolts to the end rather than "properly" turning the shaft in a lathe. So the shaft is not perfectly balanced and should be replaced for optimal performance, although I used it just fine as it is to buff tons of parts. A new shaft can be obtained for under 0 on ebay, and I can point the buyer in that direction. I used it as it is shown, without issue, but there is some vibration from the shaft due to it not being 100% perfectly balanced.
Unit does not include any power cable or wiring to the wall and will not include any buffing wheels or wire wheels shown. The wiring is very simple (just requires a 4-wire power cord). Unit was used daily in my last shop and is currently not in use since my current shop has no 3-phase power. Since item cannot be powered on at my location, I will guarantee that it powers on and runs for the buyer, provided item has indeed been hooked up correctly (easy to do).
Item is very heavy and will need to be bolted down to the concrete to use.
Seller has forklift and can assist buyer in loading the item into their truck.
U.S. shipping price is good within continental USA only. Remote areas (Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, etc) will cost considerably more, but are possible.
Item is very large and oversized. Item weighs between 100-200 pounds. Shipping will most likely be via an LTL freight carrier (truck terminal to truck terminal). Carrier will require a current phone number from the buyer and their ability to pick up the item at their nearest greyhound station or truck terminal. The freight carrier will call the buyer upon arrival to their local station. The freight company does offer courier service should you absolutely require door-to-door delivery service, but this costs additional, and is done at the buyer's sole discretion once the item arrives at their local greyhound station. LTL freight provides no "guarantee" delivery date, so please keep this in mind when buying and planning the arrival of your item. Expedited service can be arranged for an additional expense. I find the times range from as quick as 1 day to around 15 days depending on distance, with the average taking about a week after I actually ship the item. Stations near or in major cities are quickest.
Local buyers may pick up the item to waive the shipping fees (inquire). Alternatively, you may arrange for your own shipper to pick the item up via Uship (item must be paid for in cash only if picking up!)
International shipping possible, but very expensive.
